It's usually possible to find some well priced premium products at this store with some help from the owner. It's a bit crowded and chaotic inside though, but if you like to help yourself and have some time this might be the place for you.

Poor and uneducated advice! My experience at La Shoe was dismal. The sales person, presumably the owner, barely looked up when I entered the store and was in a very heated discussion on the phone. He continued to speak loudly to the person on the phone without even looking up to address me. I am a Pedorthist, and I assess and treat lower leg and foot problems with custom made orthotics and shoe education. I have more than 5 years of education and over 11 years of Pedorthic experience. I have sent clients to shoe stores with advise about what type of shoes to buy that will accommodate their orthotics. On more than one occasion, their experience at La Shoe was contradictory to my advise. One client even reported that the owner tried to talk them out of custom made orthotics in favour of buying a $30 pair of factory made insoles from him. It is important to me, professionally, to build relationships with local shoe businesses as I send my clients out to purchase healthy shoes. A relationship with a Foot Specialist, like a Pedothist would be seemingly advantageous to local shoes stores. I will no longer recommend this store for my clients -- full stop.
The owner is very experienced about footwear problems. Only place in Guelph where you can discuss your shoe problems and get the appropriate shoe suitable to your needs.
The best shoe store in the area. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. He takes the time to fit the right shoe for you. Our whole family has been very happy with all the shoes he has suggested. As someone who has one hard to fit foot and a knee replacement, I value the advice he has given me over the years and the great quality shoes!
