NO STARS! I came across Silvercreek Animal Hospital in a facebook ad, and then started exploring the reviews. I can still see nearly 10 years after my experience there, she hasn't changed. It is sad to see that she's still operating her clinic. She should be shut down! We need more laws with animals. This is my experience:I was in grade 11 or 12 and got a co-op there. I was super excited! I always wanted to work in the animal industry either as a tech or vet... today I'm almost a tech and working in the best veterinary clinic ever! Anyways it was the worst experience of my life! It was so bad to me that I didn't want to work with animals, and lost confidence in pursuing a career altogether due to my experience. She treated me like garbage, she for whatever reason assumed I should know all veterinary terms, medications, anatomy, etc. I WAS A HIGHSCHOOL STUDENT, doing a co-op... she made me do an injection, and I had no idea what the heck I was doing! I only ever did one there because i knew the welfare of clients animals were better off with an experienced person. I saw a review that said the same thing... I guess she uses free labour to her advantage ...Anyways, I witnessed her very roughly handling clients animals, cutting nails too short... she smacked a clients dog in the face for being scared.... it's sad. I was a young teen at the time and scared to speak up. I should have, maybe I would have made a difference and she would not be practicing. There was more, but the other reviews said it for me. Clearly now she's killing animals from incompetence, and still ruining her reputation... DON'T GO HERE PEOPLE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL. There are decently priced clinics elsewhere, just do some research.
We are very happy with Silvercreek Animal Hospital. We are going through a very difficult time with our little dog and the staff at Silvercreek have been fantastic. Dr. Beckstead is smart, professional, and compassionate are her staff is outstanding! We highly recommend this clinic.
Please do not go to this clinic. Cheap prices for a reason. I worked here as a co op student and all of the workers are co op students/volunteers. The only person that gets paid is the vet and the vet tech/ front desk reception. The vet is too cheap to hire actual skilled labour. Also, i have seen some things i wish i would never see. The vet is very rough with the animals and does not care about them. Definetly has traumatized some. Especially when they cut nails - she wanted us to cut so close to the nerve that the animal will bleed and scream and struggle the entire time. This happened almost every time. She also makes the students draw up and administer shots to the animals too (behind the back doors, not in the little room where you can see). Young students that have no idea what theyre doing are giving your animals shots that cost you a lot of money! We could place it wrong, give the wrong dose, or give the wrong medicine altogether. She is so cheap. I feel so bad for any animals that have been to this clinic.
We have been clients of Silvercreek Animal Hospital for many years now. We have experienced the lows of having to have our fur baby (Black Lab) euthanized (due to large cell lymphoma) to the highs of taking our new puppy and family member for her vaccinations and regular check ups. Dr. Beckstead and her staff are exceptional in their field of knowledge and compassion. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. The care is second to none and the prices are great. If you're undecided about where to get the best care for your fur baby, let your search end here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Dont go to this place you are wasting lots of money for the worst service!!!!! Im going to the vet at Gordons they gave me the best package deal 400$ plus tax for 4 vet visits 1 full year of nail trimming dog training class as well!!!!! Great package deal for a new puppy!!!!! I recommend going there then this place the vet looks like a clown doesnt care about your pets hurts them when cutting nails the go alll the way in so it hurts them sometimes may cause bleeding they only wanna take your money they dont care about your pets! The 5 star reviews are people the vet like
