Went into Hometown Sports looking to get a new cage for my daughter’s hockey helmet. I was told that the specific helmet couldn’t change the mask and I’d need a new helmet. The gentleman working there said he could fix it and did it on the spot. Huge thanks, it now fits great

I went into Hometown Sports thinking my trapper needed to be re-laced. Turns out it was a quick fix and the boys had me on my way in about 10-minutes. They refused my offer to compensate them for their time and help. I really appreciated the gesture and their help.
Dropped a pair of skates off on a Friday to get sharpened (radius) and an ankle bone area punched on the skate, they said they needed a few days - no issue with that but when I called back on Monday to see if they were ok to be picked up for Tuesday guy said yes. Went in on Tuesday and neither was done and the people there had no idea what I was talking about. When I told them I needed them for a game so I had to take them they told me where they were and didn’t even get them for me - to be clear 3 people sitting around and no one else in the store so not exactly busy with other stuff… just a very poor first experience and there’s enough better options in Guelph to avoid this place.
Amazing store! •Walked in an hour before closing- friendly and helpful staff, was in and out in less than 10 minutes! •The staff truly seem to enjoy working there (all happy and supportive of one another. •Great pricing and stock of items. •Clean snd organized. Definitely will be returning for future purchases!
