I recently visited this charming market and was blown away by the quality of their pies! The apple crumble pie was one of the best I’ve ever had. The turkey pie was just as impressive! You can tell that everything was fresh, with quality ingredients and real attention to detail. I can’t wait to go back (and I’m from Toronto) Highly recommended!
A good variety of meats, baked goods, and in season produce. I only bought strawberries, a couple were moldy so be sure to check before you purchase. Farmers market prices.
I used to come here frequently, I still receive their baked goods, they are great! The chocolate milk they sell is even better! Their corn is great! And they have some cows that are pretty fun to admire from a far. Anyway, keep up the great work guys! ?
Great find. Today, Google Maps sent us on a shortcut that led to us cruising the fall countryside. That brought us to Mosborough County Market, a really awesome place! Strawberries like candy, homemade pies, sweet juicy Corn ?; real tasting food, local, and most had no GMOs, no hormones, free range, etc. Ahh and local pepperetts, oh those pepperetts, . Yeah great place. Then we were rolling along before the snow????
This is a great market I have been visiting for many years once or twice a week, in season. The produce is A1. I enjoy the meat, as well. Tonight I bought some burgers. I'm not one to look at weight of such things. But did notice they were much thinner. We are all feeling squeezed. The not being told why hurts. I want to support ontario farmers. Be loyal to your customers as well.
Had an incredible weekend in Elora, and we passed through Guelph and our first stop was this cute little farm. They had all the fresh veggies and fruits, the squash and watermelons looked amazing! They also had fresh lamb, beef, chicken etc. We got some steaks and ground beef. Star of the show were the butter tarts, arguably the best ones I have ever had. Crispy and carmelized on the outside, and soft and gooey in the centre. We tried the raspberry pie which was our favourite, the blueberry pie was super tasty as well, and my boyfriend liked the cherry one the most! We got some pickles and honey, the pickled asparagas was sooo yummy. Definitely coming back as soon as we can!
Great place to shop for high quality fresh meat and produce! Local for us, although in the opposite direction from everywhere else we shop. We try to get there often.
