Recently found out about cavan and I’m hooked, the beans I’ve purchased have been incredible. And the barista has taken the time to help me get a better brew at home by explaining what he was doing while making my pour over. Excellent service.

This place is an absolute hidden gem! ✨ The coffee here is honestly the best I’ve ever had! You can taste the love and craft in every cup! The fact that they roast their own beans is so fascinating, and it truly makes all the difference! The atmosphere is beautiful, friendly and welcoming! This is officially my new go-to coffee spot! Highly, highly recommend everyone to check it out! ☕?

Tried a Flat White and a Cappuccino at Caravan Coffee. Not a bad coffee but the milk was not done properly. Also it’s missing a variety of sweets to choose from

Great quality espresso with delicious beans you can take home. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and he was quick to provide me advice on my at home set up. This is the best cafe in the Guelph. If you’re interested in getting started/honing your at home setup. They can be trusted to tie great advice.

I have read the amazing reviews of this cafe and was disappointed I did not leave with that glow of good service and atmosphere promised by them. I visited Mon., July 29th late a.m. No doubt the Americano I had was smooth and gave me a good surge of energy for $4ish. Upon entering I saw a huge messy "work" area to the left which looks like it needs a rethink regarding asthetics. Not sure what message is being conveyed here. We taste fresh, good and we are messy? There was not a lot of seating left, so yes, busy usually a good sign and one staff member on duty which in my generous heart may have been unfair working conditions for him. When I asked about what a flatty was, the baristo mustered a contemptuous "Its a flat white". That did not clear things up for me as I am not a beverage aficionado but the withering look of contempt from the server made me want to limit any energy spent on exploring the menu further with him. I would have left but my Sister likes this place. Though she mentioned she noticed the server's resting dik face. The place was filled with sad lonely people working on laptops. It's not easy serving the public, I get that and I hope the baristo is okay because we can all have a bad day. The corner round table I sat at hadn't recently been wiped and we did clear our own table. The best part was being able to talk to my sister until the metal rock began to play... Not my taste for friendly peaceful coffee drinking ambience. This Gen Xer is reluctant to return. Sad because I have lots and of money to spend on coffee and treats. I googled what a flatty is by the way and I would like to try it now I understand about all ingredients and ratios. Sadly it most likely won't be at the Cavan Coffee shop. ?☕

A friend suggested I stop by Cavan on the way out of Guelph for coffee to tide me over to Toronto. Google maps told me that their store was a 76% match for me. I go to a lot of coffee shops so Google knows me well. I walked in the door, and was greeted immediately, friendly. They were playing Def Leopard's Pyromania on vinyl. Google is wrong. This coffee shop is a 100% match. Strongly recommend it.

You know you love a coffee place when you drive up from downtown...and that is my only complaint: we need a Cavan downtown Guelph! Great relaxed vibe but attention to coffee beans and coffee-making is not relaxed here - they take it seriously and the pay-off is big. Expensive? Maybe, but worth it. Every penny. I hardly go out for coffee anymore because coffee at home is waaaay better now that I buy Cavan beans. In fact it has ruined me for other coffee. Have to take a thermos of my own everywhere I go. Ha! And chats with owner a hoot. Love this place.

This is a very thorough and thoughtful review. It is unacceptable to be given disdain and shortness when asking a simple question about a drink, on top of that the work environment should be clean. We are sorry, the barista will be spoken to. Thanks for the honesty and I hope to have the chance to make it up to you. Owner, Jeremy Cavan
