We ordered a 4-tier wedding cake from Wellington Cakes and were not disappointed! Working with Anne was so great - she's so lovely and quick with communication. I sent her a picture of the cake inspiration and she replicated it beautifully. I told her I had custom figurines made of our dogs, and asked if she could place them on the cake and make it look like they were eating - she executed perfectly! Cake flavors were great as well. For all the flavors she has available, I was surprised to find not only the icing to be different but the cake and filling itself as well. So great! Highly recommend! Lovely shop, very kind owner, and excellent customer service - when something didn't go quite right, Anne ensured there was a timely solution. We loved the assortment of fruity cupcakes!
I can't say enough about Wellington Cakes and Anne. She has been incredible with our wedding cake and postponing this past year. When we decided to order a second cake, I gave her the colours I'd like, the flavour (white chocolate & raspberry, it was delicious!!) and to make it simple and elegant. I was BLOWN AWAY with what she and her team was able to create. She was so flexible as I changed the delivery time on her about 3 times. If I could give Wellington Cakes more than 5 stars, I would!
It was my first time to order the birthday cake here. I had communicated with owner Anne a few times by email before and she replied in time and more patience. The birthday cake which I chose the style and taste, it was quite beautiful with fresh materials and delicious. My family all liked it so much. I think that I will order the birthday cake next time when someone’s birthday. Also, I will recommend Anne to my friends.
I love their butter tarts of all flavours and my seasonal fall favourite is the pumpkin. Get there when they open and the tarts will still be warm. #best in Guelph!
We used Wellington Cakes for our wedding cake and dessert table and were so impressed with how everything turned out! Anne was amazing to work with. She was accommodating and took the time to sit down with us prior to booking for us to try some samples and get an idea of what we were looking for. Everything looked beautiful and tasted delicious! Highly recommend getting the butter tarts as well :)
Bakery specializing in wedding/custom cakes that also has a small retail space selling a few simple treats including squares, butter tarts, cupcakes and macarons. You can taste that quality ingredients and good chocolate have been used in the making of their treats. With one big crack and corner piece of chocolate missing from my piece, the slice job needs to be improved on those squares though. ;) - Mimi's Cake Tour
