Although Paramont Sports may not always be the least expensive place to purchase equipment, the exceptional customer service and genuine care more than compensate for any small price difference compared to other retailers with subpar service. Lee, the owner, consistently goes above and beyond with his time, knowledge, and attention. I’ve been shopping at Paramont Sports since 1986, and that level of service is exactly why I keep coming back.
If you want to get into snowboarding or are wanting to try something new. This is the place, they have premium good and premium staff, they are knowledgeable and warm and far from pushy, I went in looking for a new board to replace my old one, I left very happy and with a board I can enjoy !!!!
Went in to pick up parts for an old bike, but then realized how out dated it was. The staff was awesome to show and explain how bikes have changed over the decades. So I bought a new bike and am totally stoked to go riding! They also took their time as it was well past their closing time and never made me feel rushed. I will be going here to grab a bike for my wife. Thanks!
Excellent bike shop.Purchased a new bike with the assistance from Cam a year ago (2024). I have been cycling since 1965 and must say it is so refreshing to find a dealer who is truly professional, that listens to your needs in this city. Planning to bring my older bike in for a full restoration. Thankyou Paramount staff, and a large THANKYOU to Cam….
Had my bike assembled and wrapped at Paramount Sports and received top-notch work from Cam. He set up the bike precisely to my size and preferences, resulting in a perfect fit. Highly recommend Paramount Sports and Cam for their excellent service!
Told they had an item in stick but I'm sure the fella who took the call did not take time to check inventory. He was doing nothing at the till when I was there. Great customer service.
Picked up my new bike after dropping it off over a week ago for it's first "new bike service" Told them specifically...check bottom bracket for grinding, lube chain, fix brake. The rear brake just won't lock. What I got was a DIY project. I picked up the bike today, and was told oh you're not exactly a light rider and that the brakes need some time to wear in, I've written this bike for about 5 hours and from day one the rear brakes never locked. I just assumed that when you bring something in for service that service would be done or at least a phone call would be made to say you need some new brake pads or we need to take the discs off and scuff them up a bit and there's going to be an extra charge for that, or something. But all I got was one week of no bike, and a whole bunch of excuses and a whole lot of conversation, one-sided from Lee. So I picked up a new set of brake pads and for the last hour and a half I've swapped the bigger disc to the back and put the smaller discs to the front and scuff them up with sandpaper and lubed my own chain and check the bottom bracket which lo and behold needed some more lubrication... So basically I'm done and I'll take my business for our two road bikes somewhere else. On another note, when you're the owner of a business, you should never assume that your customers don't know anything about the product that you're selling, or that they aren't capable of fixing it themselves. Talking to them like they are children that have never seen a bike with disk brakes before is enough to make this family shop somewhere else?
