Dealing with the staff at Benmet was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Nicholas promptly answered my email inquiring about bringing my car in to scrap it, and was very thorough in explaining the process to me. Upon arrival, Laurie guided me with kindness and patience as I have never done this before. The process was quick and easy and everyone was extremely friendly.
Sales guy is so unprofessional as first ask for price and when someone quotes he behaves like he is the boss of the universe and talks rudely. If he doesn’t want to do business he can be polite about that
They close at noon on Saturdays. Their entire online presence and the signs on the physical building say they close at 1 PM. The only way to find out when they actually close is by calling their automated voice messaging service (you will never reach a real person there just the ability to leave a message) and pressing the button that lists off their hours. Clearly they do not value their customers time. Do not appreciate coming to a deserted lot 50 minutes before the posted closing time and calling their number while they're supposed to be open and only getting voicemail. Gerdau seems to have better prices anyways.
I had a 50 yard bin filled 3000 lbs of shread metal and was told it wasnt worth them paying for. Last time i checked shred metal was anything that didnt fit a certain criteria . I have dealt with others and never been screwed around like this .
