Called Guelph police because my car keeps getting vandalized and broken into (forcefully), the male I talked to for a total of 2 minutes said he was putting me through to an officer, so he did and the officer never picked up so I left a voice mail, its now been 2 days and I havnt heard back and my car was broken into again last night. Goes to show that the Guelph police service does not care. And Im goning to have to take matters into my own hands.

The officers at the front desk are extremely rude. When I tried to report that a 911 operator did not send the police when my house was being broken into, I was told that they had no record of any 911 calls from my phone. I showed them the call history on my phone which clearly showed that I had called 911 over a dozen times. They shrugged their shoulders and said "well in our system it says you never called".They then refused to give me my ID (driver's licence) back. The officer insisted that it was a fake ID... The ID was an Ontario licence in pristine condition as I just had it replaced/renewed. He gave it to another officer to check it out on the computer. The entire time we waited, which was about half an hour, the officer screamed, ridiculed, and intimidated me into admitting my ID was fake. I repeatedly asked him what it was on the licence that gave him that indication, and he couldn't answer. I asked how someone who looks at IDs all the time could so easily mistaken a real ID for a fake one, especially Ontario driver's licences which have all kinds of security features and are extremely difficult to fake. I was continued to be insulted, and that "when" they found out my ID was fake, I would be arrested for a forged document, filing a false police report, and harassment of an officer.I brought up that there were cameras everywhere in the police station and his reply was "right, but guess who posses those tapes and can destroy them at any time". I asked him one final time if he was 100% sure my ID was fake. He replied that he was 110% sure.The officer from the front desk then returned with my ID and said it was real. I looked at the officer who was ridiculing me about this the entire time and asked for an apology. He screamed that there was no way he was going to apologize, because my ID looked fake and it was his "duty" to check it. I have used my same ID with bouncers, casinos, and even other police officers. The authentication of it was never even brought into question. He then ordered me to leave or else he would arrest me for harassment.
Went in to get a record check done the woman that helped me was super friendly and veary helpful.my experience with the police services were terrific
Never got back to me after I filed a vandalism report, never returned emails or calls. It has been many months now and I give up. I guess unless someone is being physically hurt they dont care.
