Great trails in this Park. Leash free dog area great for exercise and roaming in the outdoors. The park is so large I spent of over an hour long walk without seeing anybody.

Definitely a worth to go place in Guelph. It is perfect for a walk or running, there are some kilometers of trails. Lots of different tree species and you frequently spot some deers. A must go for a evening run very close to the university.

Nice park. It would be great with a bigger leash free area and a clean pond for the dogs to swim in.

Nice old growth first. Little muddy but what are going to do... It is a forest :). Other people on the trail were really friendly.

I just loved walking on the trail at Preservation Park in Guelph, Ontario. The day I went was a hot and sunny day. I went from one end of the trail to the other and back again. That day was so quiet and calm. As I continued to walk I came practically face to face with a beautiful doe. We both just stood there very still looking ar one another. I slowly reached for my camera that was around my neck and preceded to take a few pictures. The doe just stood there letting me take her picture. When I was done she just took off into the forest. It was such a wonder and magical moment. As I continued on my walk I came across a Heron. It is rare that I just happen to stumble upon these kind of animals. It was a really an amazing nature walk! I also saw a few smaller creatures...One of them was a Red Squirrel and the other a Downey Woodpecker. Man has taken so much forest land that these beautiful creatures dont know where to go...so it was so good to see these wonderful animals in this preservation park.
