Discovering this place was such a treat! My coworkers have been here multiple times and didn’t stop praising this little spot down the road so I had to try it myself. I ordered the Hot and Spicy Linguine and it was delicious, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Melissa, our server, was wonderful and made sure I was well looked after as a vegetarian which meant a lot. The highlight for me was the bruschetta, honestly the best I’ve had so far. Usually it’s just tomatoes, but here they even add cheese (and I love cheese), which took it to another level. My friends enjoyed the fish tacos, Caesar salad, and chicken souvlaki, and they were just as impressed. Romero’s really feels like a hidden gem in Guelph. It’s family-owned, the staff are so sweet, and the cozy atmosphere makes it an easy favorite. We went in around 11 am and it filled up quickly, which tells you how much people love it. Prices are fair and very reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

We were there for dinner. I was a little nervous walking in, as it looks extremely fancy and I was worried I was under dressed. Not to worry, the two gentlemen on staff were extremely polite and attentive. Food was incredible, felt very fresh and 'real', like the ingredients were picked from a back garden. Definitely coming back and bringing others!

It was meh. I was shocked that they use boxed pasta. It’s so easy to make and way cheaper; disappointing. Food was Ok, a little bland and weak of flavour. Authentic Mediterranean should be chock full of fresh herbs and spices…the plates needed a kick of flavour. Prices were too high for the meal. Bread was not authentic…some sort of standard white loaf. Came with butter? Where’s the olive oil? For that price I’ll go to La Cuccina and get fresh and authentic

Slow service, NOT attentive whatsoever and made multiple mistakes. The paper napkins and dated decor left it feeling cheap, albeit the prices were not. Servers were not attentive to 'servicing' out table, ie: drinks etc. Seemed like a very old clientele when we were there, the bear share of guests post 70yrs old and in turn the 50's Juke box music they had playing, that and the overall ambiance reminded us of a 50's roadside diner. It used to have a good reputation, somewhere you could go for a nice Italian meal with good service and leave thinking you were at an upscale restaurant (for Guelph)..not so much anymore.

The food was excellent, the portions substantial and the cost was very reasonable. We celebrated our friend's birthday there and it was all so wonderful. That was the first time I had eaten there and I loved it. We will be back again for sure. I highly recommend them.

Sorry we disappointed you EJ. I would absolutely love to make fresh pasta here, unfortunately it is very labour's intensive and time consuming.
