Bryn was my stylist and to say impressed was an understatement. She was very accommodating and kind not to mention my hair looks beautiful! Will be going to her from now on!
Loved my cuts and was happy to drive from Toronto to receive them but after several good experiences, was told (blatantly, via email) that I would not be allowed to rebook because, as a divorcing mom to a child with special needs who was not an introverted queer (their words) I was not a “good fit” for the stylist. It certainly wasn’t an “inclusive” space. Update: this review was only posted after several emails to the stylist seeking to understand their offence and perspective were met with doubling down of unspecified discomfort in a situation where a simple “I don’t have anything to say about what you are talking about” “i would prefer to quietly focus on my work” would have been an easy and professional response. Never was there any specification of a boundary being passed nor an offence by the stylist. My accurate depiction of my experience is not the “icky” part of this situation; how unprofessionally this situation was handled by the stylist then the owner, particularly how it was attempted to be redefined is what was icky. Tolerance and inclusivity must be demonstrated and not just preached.

The messy, undone look is serving me so well! Julie listened to my "Hair trauma" with patience, on my second visit she showed me how to cut my own bangs, and always provides the most calming salon experience I've ever had. I am a fairly new customer of Reverie Studio having moved when my Stylist, Jenni joined their team. The salon welcomes you with natural light, tons of beautiful plants, tasteful and simple decor and a very comfortable environment for all. Coffee, water, snacks - it’s easy to stay and enjoy your appointment. Jenni S has been my stylist for a few years and she is the BEST colourist out there. She is considerate of my ideas, works with me to plan out the colour and style for the next few visits and she always makes sure I am pleased with the colour and cut. My colour looks natural and my hair looks healthy. Jenni is so friendly and I am lucky to have found her. My hair colour is very important to me ☺️. Highly recommend Jenni and Reverie.

This is the place! And Maggie is terrific! I have been scarred of layers for pretty much my entire adult life. Maggie spent time talking to me, getting to know my hair, and really trying to understand my hair goals. I left with an amazing, layered haircut, and the confidence that I could go home and style it appropriately. My husband said that it's the best haircut I've ever had. It's easy to manage, the layers look great and I could not have been happier with the experience.
I have been getting my hair done for years, and there is NOBODY who does it like Julie. My friends and our moms will all say the same thing: Julie is more than a hair dresser- she’s an artist. She absolutely knows with one look at your head, what you want, and how it will look, and how to make it perfect. Once she’s done, she has you coming out looking even better than the picture you showed her from Pinterest. And if you don’t know what you want, she gets to work and has you leaving saying to yourself “wow, she reads my mind better than i can”. Talent aside, Julie is the kindest, funniest, coolest woman, who’s salon is a place for everyone to feel safe. I will always and forever vouch for Reverie!!
