I can't say enough good things about the products and staff at this store. My groomsmen and I came to buy suits for my wedding and everything was so fast and easy!! George was so insanely helpful with measurements and re sizing. He made the whole experience amazing! If you need formal wear, this is the best place in town!!
We had a great experience here getting the suits for our wedding. We wanted to do something where the groom would stand out from the groomsmen, and the look ended up being perfect! Ali was extremely helpful from start to finish (and we were in there a lot asking a lot of questions) and he ordered in the ties we wanted to make sure the guys all got the same special ties. He was also amazing at knowing exactly what size to get for the guys. The whole team was very friendly to deal with. And the groomsmen were shocked at how inexpensive the suits were while being a great quality!
If you want to be racially profiled here's the place! We walked into the store and were completely ignored. 2 white men walked in and were greeted cheerfully. We were glanced at and ignored. Not the first time this has happened here. Won't be the last. Very blatant discrimination towards POC
We haven't been to Tip Top in years, and walked in and had one of the best experiences hands down ever! We were helped by Frank Santantonio who really knows his stuff! He was so helpful, listened exactly to what we were looking for, and outfitted my husband with a gorgeous suit. He went above and beyond, and provided exceptional service. We want to thank Frank for such an awesome experience. We will definitely be back. Photo of my husband spiffed up in his new suit to follow soon!
Wedding parties beware! Ordered a suit in March, at the Tip Top Guelph location, for a wedding at the end of July. I'm in the wedding party, and all other ushers have received their orders placed at the Woodbridge location. Was told by sales associate, Ali, that they didn't have the correct size in store, but indicated I will be called when it's in, within "a couple of weeks". Called the store twice for updates, and was told Ali is not in and to try calling another time. Called "another time" - Ali was not in but was told they are "trying to locate the suit". Physically went to the store twice as well, and was told to call back another time, as Ali was not in. Today my wife made a fifth attempt to see when the suit will be available. Ali was in today. Wow! She was told the suit is not available. Poor poor poor communication and follow through. Thanks Tip Top Tailors Guelph! One month before the wedding. My wife is currently on the phone with the bride to be - needless to say, the bride to be is upset and confused as to why 4 of the 5 ushers received their suits. On a side note, I agree with prior reviews that indicate the staff won't give you the time of day if you "appear" to not be buying anything. On each of my three visits in store, including the visit of the purchase, I was largely ignored. I did not see a smile from any of the sales people until I let them know i was there to purchase a suit for an upcoming wedding. **** Updating review: after reaching out to Tip Top Canada head office, a solution was achieved. Suit looked great for the wedding. The original salesman, Ali, should have taken the time to explore solutions - but he didn't. Will continue to use Tip Top, but at alternate locations.
