Had to wait 40 minutes despite only 2 people in front of me,(not and then had to wait a further 20 just for them to check if they had a screen for my small laptop. I was then told it would take 7 days to change my screen and cost me 290 bucks, 70 of which were labor. Don't forget price is subject to change. I went downtown that day and got my screen changed in 20 minutes, for less than half the price. If you hate not wasting your time, like wasting money, and enjoy employees lying to your face like you're an idiot, come here. ZERO STARS
Was looking to upgrade parts on my new gaming pc, and purchase equipment to start streaming visited Best Buy to purchase the parts and equipment. Still had lots of question I planned on googling when I arrive . Upon arrival , I was approached by geek squad staff who answered all my questions and helped me compare equipment and part brands . At the end they suggested if I ever need help with repairs or anything give them a call. A few days later I tried to call to to book some help with finding and possibly installing a new pc cooler . The process to get ahold of someone to even see if this is something they could help with was complicated, long and unhelpful . Ended up taking it to a different shop for installation
I highly recommend the Guelph "Geek Squad" at Best Buy. This Sept. 2024 I purchased an outdoor security camera. They set me up with a very knowledgeable gentleman named Peter. He installed my security camera and instructed me on its operation. As a senior with limited technological knowledge this help was very valuable to me. I am completely impressed with Peter's professionalism and his kind, considerate, patient manner. I want to thank the "Geek Squad" and especially Peter for providing such an essential service to this community for a very affordable price. All the best and thank you again. Geek's at best buy charging me twice a month for something I don,t want or needs please let's cancel this .if I could I be at the store ,to do so my self ,guess what geek I can,t come to the store ,so please phone me or email me back ,actually no phone call till some one response to me .
Set myself up with a new laptop and added the monthly coverag by geek squad, I enjoyed interacting with the girl I was on the phone with as she let me take over to save time in communication.... Not many tech services let you take over... Only reason it's not 5 star is I felt like I was in and out fast with no relationship building between me and the company and no follow up to see how things were working to earn the final above expectations score. Called for some help with my phone. The problems were under warranty so the process to replace my phone began immediately. They were very helpful over the phone and a replacement phone was delivered very quickly. I am still going through the remainder of the process but based on the smoothness so far I anticipate no troubles. Thanks again.
