Paola's store is my favourite store in Guelph. Here's an example; during the pandemic, my grandmother and grandfather died of natural causes. They had a tradition of sending pine river aged white cheddar to the relatives, which was affectionately referred to as the 'Good Cheese'. When I asked if Paola could make me around ten vacuum packed parcels of cheese, she happily did so and labelled them the Good Cheese out of what I can only assume is the love of celebration, a good joke, and fine cheese. Christmas was a success, thanks to Paola.
Great selection of cheese and the customer service was great! Definitely reccomend this place and will be back. Yum! Definitely the BEST cheese store in Guelph!
I was lucky to discover Paola's Fine Cheeses about 3 years ago. What can I say? Paola and her staff are so knowledgeable about their products, and they genuinely care about you as a person. Paola has an amazing selection of cheese (a few of my favourites being the Comte Reserve, Morrocan Spiced Cheddar, and Grey Owl). Her homemade chicken parmesan is amazing, and the quiche is bursting with flavour from simple quality ingredients . I can't recommend this place enough!
Simply the best cheese selection I have ever seen! From the finest Cheddars to the tastiest Blue Cheeses, there is a cheese to suit everyone's taste buds. Not only is the cheese selection second to none, the knowledgeable staff, especially Paola, can help you make any dinner party or corporate function a success. The homemade scones and gnocchi are also a must try. This place is a definite gem and not to be missed!
The staff and Paola are lovely. We started going here just for special occasions (Valentines, anniversary, etc.) but now we go whenever we can. Awesome store with both good selection and friendly service.
Outstandingly friendly staff all around, absolutely outstanding soup, all the cheeses I've tried were spectacular, as is employees knowledge. I've only tried one sandwhich which was good but nothing extraordinary. Absolutely would recommend you check them out of you haven't!
