While I did not end up purchasing a bike here, the service level was unmatched. I probably drove them nuts with all of my questions over the course of a few weeks but everyone was super understanding and patient as I moved through the decision making process. These guys really encourage you to make the right choice for yourself whether that be the correct sizing, or simply picking the right bike for you. I really wish I could’ve purchased from them, however I do plan on bringing all of our bikes here for servicing in the future. I haven’t yet found another bike shop that’s as welcoming and transparent. I’d recommend anyone to go to this awesome business!
Outstanding service from Maxine. I have a hard time getting bike shoes that fit and she had the patience to try and find me a pair. It didn't work out but I appreciated her honesty and no pressure sales approach. She also ordered the perfect helmet to fit my big Irish head. Tim, James and Cosmo ... give her a raise.
I had such a wonderful customer service experience with Maxine! I placed an order all the way from BC because they had exactly what I was looking for, and Maxine was in touch with me regarding shipment status and making sure the color choice was what I wanted with the extra wait time for it. She was even more fabulous in helping me out when a product wasn’t the correct size. Good customer service is hard to find. I wish this store was closer to me. I would be a frequent flyer.! Very happy customer!
I’ve had an excellent experience with Speed River, thanks to Tim’s outstanding service. In 2017, I visited Tim for a bike fit due to an injury that prevented me from riding. Unfortunately, the injury was more serious than anticipated, and I had to sell my road bike. In 2022, I reached out to Tim via email for advice on a used Trek Domane on Marketplace I was considering to see if I could get back into cycling. He promptly answered my sizing questions, though in the end that bike didn’t work out. This summer, I decided to try again and contacted Tim. After a successful test ride on a hybrid bike, I made the purchase. A week later, I realized a gravel bike would better suit my needs. Tim was incredibly accommodating, allowing me to exchange the hybrid for a Checkpoint Gravel bike after a test ride. He’s been highly responsive, addressing all my questions throughout the process. I’m thrilled with the service and highly recommend Speed River!
Brought in a family members bike. It just needs the annoying brakes fixed, and we payed for it to be fixed, but now it's more annoying than it was when we brought it in. It seems like such a minor simple problem. Upon pickup they said " you get what you pay for ". Very disappointed.
Knowledgeable staff that is willing to help you out. Due to where I work, I occasionally have to go elsewhere since the hours don't always work for my situation.
Me and my bf both got our bikes here and really really love them. We recently took them in for a tune up and they really helped us both out fixing things and adding on new grips for me. Taylor helped me pick my bike out, which was a tall order considering i had noooo idea what i wanted or even how much i wanted to spend. A young woman helped my bf out and he really appreciated her input as well. We also chatted with one of the guys who works more behind the scenes fixing up bikes and he is just a fountain of knowledge. They really take care of their customers, very impressive.
