This is by far the best art supply store in ontario. I have moved away, but will continue to shop at wyndham art. The customer service is the best anyway. Staff are very knowledgeable and very helpfull.
I am thrilled to have found Wyndham Art Supplies. I started teaching myself to draw in December 2024, and it quickly turned into a passion. I’ve always identified as a writer, but now I proudly call myself an artist too. The progress I’ve made feels surreal, and when people call me an artist after seeing my work—it finally feels real. Stores like this are a big reason why. Great products, knowledgeable staff, and outstanding customer service make such a difference. I had no idea Wyndham even existed until today, but after my first visit I’m already planning my second (not a joke!). I originally called the store and the gentleman I spoke with was so polite and kind—rare these days. When I arrived, he offered to help right away, which I really appreciated because I wasn’t sure what I needed or where to find it. He was so friendly that I left thinking, wow, I’d be friends with this guy. The shop itself is spotless, yet still has that cozy, old-school vibe that feels so “Guelph.” I love that it’s an independent business—that alone makes me want to support it over the big-box stores. Honestly, Wyndham feels like it truly values artists. I was especially excited to learn they host classes, including life drawing. I’ve been nervous about finding the right place for that, but knowing it’s in proper facilities makes me feel much more comfortable. It’s such an important step for an artist’s journey, and I can’t wait to try it. I also have to say—the prices are fantastic. I finally picked up the Talens Art Creation sketchbooks I’ve had my eye on for ages. I’d been resisting ordering them from Amazon, not just because I prefer supporting small businesses, but because nothing beats walking out of a store with supplies in hand instead of waiting weeks for delivery. So, Wyndham, high-five to your staff, high-five to your cleaners, high-five to whoever makes the magic happen. You’ll definitely be seeing my face a lot more—get used to it! I drive in from Hamilton every couple of months to stock up on supplies. They are the best stocked art supply store around. The staff are always lovely, and very knowledgable. Highly recommend!
the staff were wonderfully helpful and answered all my questions regarding their stock. i had a great time perusing their shelves and ended up getting a notebook and one of their paper goody bags which i cannot recommend enough. i was overwhelmed and pleasantly surprised by how full the bag was and can’t wait to use it in my crafts
Omg…. Was hoping to stop in for a quick visit Thursday but ended up I didn’t have time So I placed my order on line and received it the next day via Canada Post. How wonderful was that!!!! Awesome. I love this place it’s soooo helpful and makes me feel like I’m Harry Potter getting ready for school. Filled to the rafters with artist delights
Looking to order; Three, Giant note pads… for next to my easy chair, in order to capture ideas, marked down accordingly, without scratchiness in need of some absent lubricant, while one is appropriately ensconced in a bio-centric stream of consciousness. So; *Pad Size: 20" one direction, or larger. x3 *markers the chisel-tipped calligraphy type, of a quantity that will supply 20 years of daily, half-page notes in drawings and legibly-sized cursive?
